We arrived at the Hotel GM Kapan in Tbilisi at midday, the sunshine quickly changing into a heavy thunderstorm. (Helen's photo)
When it finished I went walking in the old part of town, all up and down stone steps or cobbled paths. I did go into Bethlehem Church where the incense used in the service was so thick that it was somewhat difficult to see. It was noticeable that there were a tremendous number of police around and to be told later that the French President was in Tbilisi.
